Weekend Recap & photo updates of the house

We've been very excited to see the house come together this past few weeks.  Since we had signed up to have people over for Superbowl Sunday, we had the perfect motivation to get the house in tip top shape! 

Since our last post, we've gotten a few more finishing touches throughout the house but we still have a long way to go!  Check out some of our work:

I had seen these copper letters at Crate & Barrel months ago and loved them!  Rob surprised me at Christmas with them, he picked out our initials and our wedding date :)

 

Since then, I've picked up an accent table at Target so we could add a lamp and some more light!

We had a table from World Market in our last apartment, we used that behind the main couch.  In the close up you can see the awesome picture of Rob, his dad, and his brother.  Not sure if you can see those crazy pants - true Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fans!  I also have those little ducks my mom got in Korea:)

 Upstairs, we've started putting together the guest room.  We used some decor previously in our kitchen to jazz up the room a little bit:

And lastly, I want to show you Rob's good ol' man cave.  The one side is housing his arcade game and sports photos.  We need to get the pics up on the walls but want to make sure we put them in the right spot:

 And, are you ready for this?  Rob spent last week building a frame for the screen and also a platform for theater seating.  My step dad, Keith came over on Saturday to help finish it up.  The frame is wrapped in black fabric and turned out great!  The platform is heavy duty...there's no way that platforms breaking down.  It can also be used as a dance floor;)

It was perfect for Superbowl Sunday!  The guys hung out in the man cave to watch the game and the girls were upstairs.  Funny, this year a majority of our friends have kids so upstairs turned into Dileo Day care :)
