Christmas Gifts

I was initially feeling a lil blue that we couldn't put up our tree and collection of Christmas trinkets due to packing for the move.  I LOVE Christmas and I thought not putting up our decorations would make it feel less like the holidays.  But I'm reminded that we don't need our Christmas tree to enjoy the holiday spirit!  Holidays are all about your loved ones and while our family is spread across the country, Rob and I have been lucky enough to receive some awesome gifts from them.  We are so thankful and wanted to share!

Dad had this Christmas ornament made for our 1st Christmas in our new home!  I cried when I opened it because I love it so much!  We have been stressed about the house and when I opened this, it hit me what a huge and exciting step this is for Rob and I.  We have a lot to be thankful for:)   It may be a little after Christmas by the time we get in the house, but we will always remember this time when we look at this ornament.

Rob's (and my soon to be) Aunt Anne and Uncle Paul sent us this angel today.  I was so floored when we opened the box!  My first time meeting her last Christmas, I talked to Aunt Ann about the angel on the top of their Christmas tree - I loved it and can't believe she remembered that conversation, I was so touched!  I can't wait to put up our tree next year with her on top!  For the time being it will sit on our mantle (our temporary Christmas corner).

And last, but not least, Rob's dad sent over some gifts for sweet Fudge.  It was so cute to see how excited Fudge was for her gift!  Of course, she showed her sweet side, patiently waiting for her gift to be opened (she needed some help from Rob).
And then got right to playing!

Such an amazing reminder of how loved we are and I'm not going to lie, I love opening presents!   We hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season and staying warm!  We should have some updates on the house this weekend!
