It's Electric!

...Boogie Woogie Woogie. 

I know, Cheesy!  but I've had the electric slide stuck in my head all week since we FINALLY had electric installed.  So exciting!  We have been waiting for 7 weeks for them to install our electric and Saturday it finally happened!  But before I get to the fun stuff, I'll just tell you about the funny incident we had when we went out to the house.

So we were originally suppose to have electric installed on Thursday of last week.  We did a drive by to check it out and surprise!  No electric.  Double surprise!  We had two new windows thrown in.  Yes, we had a new window put in the formal living room and a new window added to our family room.  Awesome, right?  Well the window in the family room was right above our cable and electric outlet since we were planning to put our TV in the exact spot the window was placed.  Pretty.  Evidently, our city likes to throw mandatory windows in...would have been nice if someone had called us and let us know.  I'm so glad that our PM's manager called us and I have his number saved because we called him right away.  He was shocked to find out our electric didn't happen but found out that it was rescheduled for Saturday.  And he also told us they would get the window blocked out so it appears there is a window from the outside but will be a full wall as planned.  Phew!  Our furniture will still fit!  Another fun find and example of the great communication we've experienced :)

OK, the fun stuff!  Electric is complete!  Our PM's manager sent us this picture Saturday to let us know they were working on it:

We had our electric inspection today and then will HVAC and foundation inspections tomorrow.  Once we pass those, we'll start the insulation and drywall!  And they are still telling us we'll get in by the 23rd.  We'll let you know when we have drywall started!  Please keep your fingers crossed that we will pass these inspections and keep moving!
