Dining Room - new Mirrors!

When we decided on the Venice model, the dining room was a huge selling point!  We loved the open concept from the kitchen into the dining room and all the natural light the room gets.  We even debated on upgrading to get additional windows which would have given each wall of the dining room windows.  However,  in our community, the houses feel about 5 feet apart from each other and we didn't want our view from the dining room to be our neighbor's dining room.  So we opted out of the additional windows and I have been itching to add some mirrors to give us that window effect.

With the sale we found last week, I had to grab the mirrors I had been wanting for weeks!  The paneled mirrors were exactly what I was looking for and fit perfectly above our West Elm Buffet.  We had a few paintings and accessories stacked on the buffet before we added the mirrors -  you can see below that the wall was definitely in need of something.

Rob was hard at work getting these three mirrors to hang evenly.  This really was a challenge!  The pegs behind the mirror were basically slapped on so we had a lot of realigning through this process!  And I was so scared about him standing on this buffet!  But, we don't have a real ladder yet :)

In the end, they turned out perfect!  I am so happy with this add to our dining room and they make the room so much brighter!

I also took a few more close ups:

There are a few more things we'd like to do to finish this room up!  We still need to take down the ceiling fan and put up our pendant lighting (you can see those here).  And last, I'd like to add some window treatments!  But we think its looking good for now!
