Positive news from our sales rep and a new bed!

The last post, our project manager had told us there would be delay due to the amount of HVAC systems that need to be put in to the neighborhood.  Meaning, it could be an extra month before the house is finished, which puts us closing at Christmas!  I called our sales rep to dig in to what was going on.  She assured us that they have figured out the HVAC situation.  However, there are several houses in the same boat and now they are bringing in some new electric crews now to catch up on all the houses.  I'm hoping they are able to catch up on the electric and we can keep moving through the process.  We are going to visit the house next weekend and hope to see some electric started.

Regardless, we've started purchasing furniture (we took advantage of those labor day sales!) and some of it has started arriving at the apartment.  Today we got our new king size mattress and I can't wait to sleep on it!  Unfortunately, we have not gotten a bed frame and probably won't get that until closer to the closing.  It's sitting in the our extra room for the time being.

Not the most exciting picture but so excited for the bed!

We're keeping a look out for a good deal on the bed frame.  I'd really like a upholstered frame, my girlfriend Andrea just purchased a new one (pictured below) and I love it!  Joss & Main and One Kings Lane have some pretty reasonable prices but I'm nervous to buy without physically seeing the bed.

We also purchased our couches and I'm obsessed with them!  They are so comfortable and almost the size of a twin size bed.  Luckily, Crate and Barrel is holding them until we get into the new house.  I took a pic of the couch in the store, we got the same color thats shown.  I'm actually liking the "wall" color behind the couch...maybe some inspo for what kind of color scheme we'll use.

That's what we've got so far.  After the bed frame, we'll probably hold off on any other furniture adds this year!
